More Baltimore Bunnies

Here are more Baltimore Bunny blocks, my sister is going to love this quilt. She says that she already has ideas on how to quilt it.
I am working on the sails to the Elissa ship so maybe soon I can post a new Ladies of the Sea block. It should be done soon, maybe this week.

vacation

We went on vacation to Lake Ozark Missouri, what fun we had. We went to Bridal Cave, shopping at the outlets, hiked at Ha Ha Tonka state park, went to 2 movies, swam and even rented a boat for water fun. It was such a wonderful trip and so relaxing, just what I needed. I was getting a little stressed from work and needed some down time.

Needles to say I haven't done much sewing, I did get two blue pillows done for my daughter and am working on a few quilts. I have the Ladies of the Sea quilt, Baltimore Bunnies quilt and one called Be Attitudes. Here are some of the blocks from Baltimore Bunnies.

These all need the embroidery done, I will do that when I get all the applique done. I like doing it all at once at the end, when I am really motivated to get it done. Can you tell that embroidery is not my favorite part LOL.

Ladies of the Sea Block 3

I sure am going slow at this block, I am just now starting on the ship. The wreath is almost done and here is a picture.

Here is the second block I did of the Ladies of the Sea, The Bluenose ship. I noticed that I forgot to do one of the rigging lines. I will have to do that soon.

First block

This is my first Ladies of the Sea Block, the Xebec, a pirate ship. This one took about a month to finish. I figure it will take me at least 2 years to finish. I want to take my time and do the best I can on this quilt. So, what do you think of my first block?

Ladies of the Sea

I have decided to make Ladies of the Sea, it is a hand appliqued quilt designed by Susan Garman. I drooled over it all last year and finally in Febuary I decided to take the plunge and order it as a block of the month. I am already behind but considering that I work full-time, I don't think I am doing to bad. I have one block done, one almost done and am working on my third block now. I will try to post the first block I did tomorrow.

Birthday for my BIL

My brother in law Bob is having a birthday today. I made him a birthday cake, what do you think? I need to sew up the opening on the side and will do that on the way to the birthday party.
